2009 came in with a bang in Nome Alaska. Last night they lit 8 bon fires in the shape of the Alaska Flag. Then they set off fireworks. This happened before midnight so children could enjoy the event. Click the video to enjoy some Fireworks and "salsa".
More fireworks happened at midnight but we enjoyed those from Icy View. New Year's Resolutions are being written and Christmas decor is being taken down. So far it has been an enjoyable 2009. Happy and Healthy New Year to All!

Happy New Year, you Nomeites! We had fun during the 'Eve' but we're still cold and unhealthy. Hopefully it only gets better. Glad the statehood celebration was enjoyed.
