An evening of pumpkin carving. The best part about being in a remote place is that you can still engage in activities that you used to do when you were younger, it just costs more! We purchased 2 (of the last) pumpkins at our local Safeway store this week. Large pumpkins 18.99 Medium Pumpkins 11.99. We picked 2 decent ones that were not molding or squished. After a plane ride to Nome, it is anyone's guess how long they will last.
