Time Goes On

Sorry for not updating in awhile!  Seems like every time I think about the blog, something else takes over, usually our two little sweet girls.  So tonight I am making time to enter some updates.

Announcement #1

V is using the potty!  She has worn underwear in public now at least 8 times so we are getting there.  Still wearing diapers/ pull-ups at nap and bedtime but that is all.  She even opens the bathroom door, turns on the light, closes the door so no one "watches" ,does her business, dumps it, wipes and flushes, we of course have to monitor the dumping (and wiping).... especially when we hear, UH OH..... but she is doing great!  Our trip to Hawaii really kicked her into gear I think.

Announcement #2

A has been off bottles and she is "talking".... well talking is an overstatement. But she can sign for things and understands a lot and she is starting to use words. She sure has a lot to say....... it is just trying to figure out her tone and the context.  For example she may say baby.... but when she has a pen in her hand it really means paper.... which may really translate to papay....... but we are getting used to her words and getting by very well.  She lets you know what she wants and WHAT SHE DOES NOT WANT!  That is for sure :)

Since the last post in February we have been to Hawaii.... I went to Colorado ALONE....... and now we are in full swing with the end of the school year and the musical The Little Mermaid has taken over the basement.  There are fish, octopus, jellyfish, snails, frogs, flamingos, mermaid tails, etc. etc, everywhere, don't worry they are all made of felt so the mess isn't that bad.
