Mom and dad were here for the All Alaska Sweepstakes. Mitch Seavy an Iditarod Champion won the $100,000 purse. It was a neat piece of history for the town. My students went down to the race start, and I went to the end with Zeb. It was only 11:30 at night, so not too late. There were big lights set up and everything. It was very official! They have not had this race in 25 years and may never again. It was great. I was a can can girl at the premier of the Nome DVD for tourism. We did an ol'time show with Wyatt Earp and everything. It was enjoyable.
